Things couldn’t have gone better for Mum’s 100th Birthday. We had a lovely time in the front room, which Dan had decorated beautifully, and then an amazing time with all the residents. I was very impressed with all the hard work that they had done making decorations and special hats. Everyone seemed to enjoy the tea they had all decided on. What a feast! Mum certainly enjoyed herself and was on excellent form throughout. Thank you all very much for arranging everything!

Thank you to all the care staff including the life skills, volunteers and not forgetting the administration team for taking such good care of my dear sister. During the two years she was with you we knew that she was getting more interaction and stimulation. You saw the effects of her dementia daily, whereas we were protected from that in between visits. In the last few months it was lovely to be able to stay longer and even feed her with her afternoon mashed cake and yoghurt. We are incredibly grateful for the joy and fun she had in her time with you. We were convinced she was determined to reach 100 but 98 and ½ years is a wonderful age.

While it has been a difficult few months for us all to witness Dad’s gradual deterioration from Parkinson’s, we are very grateful for the excellent and attentive care you all provided at The Cedars. A residential home can of course never truly replace a relative’s actual ‘home’, but we know that Dad was genuinely comfortable, well looked after and as happy and content as he could have been in the circumstances while he was with you all. Best wishes to you all.

We were so impressed and grateful for the fantastic care you all gave Dad during his time with you. It gave us great comfort knowing how well he was being looked after at The Cedars, and we could not have wished for him to have been cared for by more kind, cheerful and attentive staff. Thank you so very much for the wonderful and supportive care you have given our mother over the last 7 years. You have all been fantastic and all the staff so dedicated, cheerful, friendly and kind. This has been a great comfort to us, knowing how well looked after our mother was during her slow but steady decline with dementia. Your end of life care was particularly impressive and attentive, and knowing our mother was calm and pain free at the end meant a lot to us. Thank you so much for everything.
